About K. Anis Ahmed
K. Anis Ahmed is a Bangladeshi author, publisher, and cultural advocate whose work bridges literature, journalism, and ideas. His fiction and essays examine the human condition through the lens of South Asian life and its global echoes.
His works include Good Night, Mr. Kissinger (University Press Limited), The World in My Hands (Random House India), Forty Steps (UPL, 2014), and the forthcoming Carnivore (HarperCollins UK, 2025).
His essays and commentary have appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Guardian/Observer, and Financial Times.
Educated at Brown University, Washington University in St. Louis, and New York University, he brings an international sensibility to South Asian letters.
He is the Publisher of the Dhaka Tribune, Co-founder of Dhaka Lit Fest, and Co-founder of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). He has also served as President of PEN Bangladesh.
